It is hot here in Richmond, but our Maury Place pool is the perfect oasis to cool off. Most of our summertime guests make their way to the pool with their favorite reading material and a cold beverage. Once there, it is a peaceful, relaxing, and private escape in the middle of Richmond's Museum District! We have pool bags with pool towels in every guest room.

This summer is the perfect opportunity to take in Butterflies Live! at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, where you can observe thousands of beautiful butterflies floating from flower to flower in the North Conservatory of the gardens. The exhibit will run through October 14, 2012. Go early because butterflies do not fly at night!
If India history and opulent jeweled objects from that country are of interest, this is the perfect time to take in "Maharaja: The Splendor of India's Great Kings" running through August 19 at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
