A "girls' weekend" in historic Richmond. We would have been happy to just stay at the inn all day long. Everything was spotless, beautifully decorated, and Donna, the host, could not have been more welcoming or hospitable. What a treat to get away and have someone wait on us! I also appreciated the toiletries in the bathroom, which were in wide-mouth bottles that made for easy dispensing of contents. The heated tile floor in the bathroom was heavenly! Maury Place was the best lodging experience I have had. Highly recommended!

Thank you an incredibly wonderful experience at your beautiful home. It has been years since we’ve stayed at a Bed and Breakfast, and yours was the best we had ever experienced. The house was like stepping back into history, the breakfasts were delicious, and the attention to detail was truly amazing.

We appreciated the advice on sights to see, the restaurant suggestions and the good maps and directions as we planned each day. Spending each morning discussing Richmond’s rich history was informative and helped bring context to the many houses, battlefields and museums we visited. Your suggestion for a tour guide was excellent as well, walking the battlefields with him made the silent forests literally “come alive”.

I am so glad we have our “Maury Place” wine glasses so that we can toast your success each time we use them. There is so much to see in Virginia, we will be back.
