This magnificent Richmond, Virginia bed and breakfast located in the Museum District and the Monument Avenue Historic District was built in 1916, five years before Monument Avenue was paved west of the Boulevard and thirteen years before the Maury Monument it overlooks was unveiled.

Lovingly preserved in its original state by previous owners, we are only the fourth family to enjoy this remarkable architectural monument, and we are delighted to share it with you as our guest. Renovations have now been completed for four gracious suites, each with its own private bath en suite. The baths feature many original fixtures, but also have updated 21st century features such as heated tile floors and new showers.

The Pathfinder Suite, Maury Place’s largest and most romantic suite, even has a multi-nozzle steam shower! Three suites  have working gas fireplaces. All suites have flat-screen televisions and wireless Internet access.

The HVAC system, plumbing, and electrical wiring have now been updated throughout, and the backyard has been reconfigured to accommodate off-street parking for our guests. The décor is both sophisticated and refreshingly modern, while still taking cues from the dramatic neo-classical architecture.

Maury Place has received glowing reviews on Trip Advisor and in local Richmond magazines.

We are honored to have been noted as one of Richmond’s top five in-town getaways in the August issue of Richmond Magazine!
