Maury Place at Monument is proud to support the Firehouse Theatre, is one of Richmond VA's most unique and exciting theater companies in our city's flourishing theater and arts community. Housed in the 101-year-old former Station House #10 of the Richmond Fire Department, the Firehouse Theatre presents important American contemporary theatre pieces with an emphasis on plays not previously produced in Richmond, including developing, producing, and performing at least one new play each year. The Firehouse Theatre is located approximately one mile away from Richmond VA bed and breakfast Maury Place at Monument.

Firehouse Theatre productions include recent Off-Broadway shows and original works, bringing the sophisitication of New York theater to Richmond. The theater has hosted the Festival of New American Plays, the ROSMY film festival, and supports Richmond's "Acts of Faith", a series of performances by local theaters designed to elicit discussion about faith.
